What's a
Banana Hat?
Instructor Beth Scott, who teaches Aerobic
Dancing in Atlanta and Tucker, held a Banana Hat contest in her classes to find out what a
Banana Hat really is. We all know it as a cool Aerobic Dancing step, but Beth's
students sought a more literal meaning. Pictured are some of Beth's students' unique
and fun creations. Student Muriel Ohlin, shown at right, won the prize!

Muriel Ohlin
Muriel Ohlin, 74, has been dancing with instructor Beth Scott in Atlanta, Georgia, for 19
years! Muriel is pictured here with her collection of session T-shirts from the
past. Muriel won the Session T-Shirt Contest in her class with the Hallelujah
session tee from Fall 1980. Beth says Muriel is very dedicated and never misses a
single curl or crunch and even uses hand and ankle weights. Go, Muriel! We
salute you! You are truly an inspiration!
