Unity Ride Fundraiser

A National Unity Ride was held on November 11, 2001 to raise money for the United Way's September 11th Fund.  Major cities in the United States held 20-25 mile bike rides in memory of lives lost and spirits challenged.  Jacki's Colorado instructor, Ellen Brown, pictured on the right in a red-and-white jersey, led the ride in the Denver, Colorado area.  Ellen's husband is pictured on the left in a matching jersey.  Ellen's group raised $840 for this worthy cause.  Congratulations to Ellen and all the Unity Riders!

Give me an "M"!  Give me an "I"....
Alanna Nichols' Pikesville, Maryland, class dances with pom-poms, smiles, and enthusiasm to the "Mickey" dance by B*witched in the Dance Party session of Aerobic Dancing.  Pictured here are  (front row, L to R):  Alanna Nichols, Faye Sherman, Beth Goldstein.  (Back row):  Paula Berger, Marlene Dahne, Denise Verstandig, Faith Friedman, Marci Langbaum.

Dancing Queens in Colorado
Ellen Brown, instructor in Aurora, Colorado, designed a special Dancing Queen T-shirt for her students, inspired by the Summer 2000 Aerobic Dancing booster of the same name.  Pictured here are Ellen and some of her Dancing Queen students in their royal attire (L to R):  Pricilla Jackson, Candace Blandford, Patti Bader, Karen Johnson, Jerene Hasbargen, Ellen Brown, Ann Coffey, and Ginny Weber.

T-shirts available at www.FitnessStuffUSA.com)

Dedicated New York Student
Congratulations to student Janet Shpur  in Diane Hart's East Greenbush, New York, Aerobic Dancing class.  Janet is pictured above (right) with instructor Diane Hart holding admission cards from the last 50 sessions of Aerobic Dancing.  There are 4 sessions per year, so 50 sessions represent 12 and a half years of Aerobic Dancing!  Janet loves feeling fit.  Thank you, Janet, for your dedication to Jacki's!

Special visitor in Honolulu
Mary Ann Griller (pictured at left) recently visited Anne Noyes' Honolulu, Hawaii, class.  Mary Ann is originally from New York, then lived in Hawaii, and now makes her home in California.  She is pictured with Maryann Jim, who is originally from Pennsylvania, then lived in Oregon, and now makes her home in Hawaii.  Wherever you go, you're always at home at Jacki's!  Thanks for visiting, Mary Ann!

Halloween Reunion in Atlanta
Instructor Beth Scott (front row, 2nd from left), now living in Virginia, visited her former Atlanta class for a special Halloween Reunion.  Instructor Mary Huneke (front row, left) is now leading the Atlanta class.  Also pictured is Atlanta/Tucker instructor Diane Hutchison (front row, 3rd from left).  Can you spot the black-eyed pea, bee, and Hershey's Kiss in the back row?  We love your creativity!

Congratulations to Honolulu student, Penny Mau
Penny Mau (center), shown with friends, Tanya Reed (left) and Alita Arkin (right), is honored by instructor Anne Noyes.  Penny came to Jacki's Aerobic Dancing five years ago because she was diagnosed with osteoporosis.  She had been on medication for six years.  Her bone density had not improved all these years until she started using weights for longer periods.  Her bone density increase this year was .8%!  Congratulations to Penny from Anne, Penny's classmates, and the SuperSite!

Tribal Dance! Tribal Dance!
The "Tribal Dance" in the Rhythm Divine session of Aerobic Dancing inspired Beth Scott and some of her students in Atlanta, Georgia, to have a tribal party! Above (L to R) are June Cothran (from Tony Tiger's tribe), Judy Cook (from the Atlanta Braves tribe), Donna Harris (from Cleo's tribe), Muriel Ohlin (in authentic Panamanian Tribal dress), and Beth Scott (also from Tony Tiger's tribe)

Above are Donna Harris (left) and Muriel Ohlin.  The black line down Muriel's face represents, um...virginity.  You can't see it, but Muriel is also wearing a ring in her nose!
